Ok, I get it now. You have a fancy shmancy trailer. I have but a simple electric braked trailer. So it should be zip tied near the steering column. I had a pretty good look for it there, but it wasn't obvious. I'll look harder tonight.

I've had guys tell me it's in the glove box, which its not, or under the rear seat, again, which its not.

Thanks for the help gents.

I think you have to go to the dealer for it. I asked the dealer when I bought my truck, and they told me they no longer come with the trucks. Probably because most people never use them, and if they can charge you extra for it, why wouldn't they?

dirtydog what you are talking about is an electronic/electric surge brake, which is different from electric brakes and the more traditional hydraulic surge brakes.

I got mine at the dealer for about $15. Go to the parts counter. It plugs into the truck near the parking brake assembly and ties into the brake controller.

Part number is 56045795AB. List $23.49 Sell $14.50

You know what, now that I have been thinking there is a plug that's wrapped up in itself and is ziptied up under the dash. I noticed it when I installed my alarm/starter combo. I wanna say it's a white or yellow connector???
