dodge ram 1500 hemi with srt-10 hood ????

You might want to consider the Vararam http://www.vararam.com/hemi.html For the money I think it would be better intake for the buck. I just don't think the srt hood is going to pull that much air in.
Supposedly the factory SRT-10 hoods were designed to let heat out of the engine bay rather than air in.
Also from reading actual third party tests, it seems that there is no advantage over the factory air intakes.

I would check into this and make sure it comes with everything pictured as the other link I gave you was simply for the hood scoop. This seems like it's a complete kit, but you'd better ask to be sure

I don't buy that one bit. If that were true CAI's wouldn't show any advantage either, But many people swear by them. Also if you are 4 willing it, Having the intake above the engine has to be better than the stock or lower.

Sorry, I was talking about the SRT-10's.
The aftermarket CAI's on these trucks don't seem to offer any advantage over the OEM CAI system.(on a stock or near stock engine)
Another thing though that applies to ALL so-called Ram/air set ups is that you have to be going something like 100+mph for there to be any effect.

I still don't see it, Maybe for boost. But again unless I am missing something it would be like having a CAI. And still the benefeit of having the intake about as high as one can put it w/o a snorkel.

You are supposed to get approx; a1% increase in power for each 10deg decrease in intake air temp.
The bottom line on intakes is that I had an opportunity to speak with a factory engineer and what he had to say made good sense.
Engines are tested both with and without all accessories including the air intake system before being cleared for production and even with costs being a major consideration, there is no way they would leave a significant amount of HP in the air intake system.
