Default I think I may have an odd/rare truck...?

Ok, I am new to the dodge truck world, but not the automotive world. For my age I like to brag that I am quite bright when it comes to vehicles. Heck I have rebuilt engines, installed big suspension lifts, installed clutches, and im now recently learning how to do gears. Anyways, long story short...lol...As i am learning about dodge trucks,

i noticed my 06' 1500 has a heavy duty badge on the rear, my truck sits noticeably higher than every other stock 1500 I have come across, has tow mirrors(i know you can get them on any 1500) and a 6-speed manual on the 5.7L engine. Ok, so i have been looking around online and noticed that I can not find any other 1500 with this set-up. Also, i found that Dodge does not make a 1500 Heavy Duty. What the heck is going on here? can you build any 1500 like this special order? does dodge make the 1500 HD? do i have increased spring rates or something that makes my truck higher? there is no lift kit on it. ???????

Sounds like previous owner added an extra leaf or helper springs and slapped on a Heavy Duty badge.

FYI, I did all of that before I turned 16 and what did that have anything to do with the question asked?

The Hemi did not come with a manual 6 speed from the factory.

If you post up your VIN we can tell you what exactly it is, well I mean how it left the factory.

hmm yeah.... i have never heard of the six speed, but kelly blue book has. and since clearly you know so much about truck or cars or whatever do you think dodge would make a one of a kind truck? Anyone can get badges at a dealership. And how much bigger is it? Do you know if a stock dodge has blocks or how big they are? How many leaves does your stack have? And I dont know how to rebuild motors or do gears. But I do know how to install a basic lift kit because bolt on lift kits are Common Sence!

Easy fellas.

A getrag could have been installed by the previous owner. Not so hard to imagine that. When I wanted to order a Ram back in 2004, the dealer told me I could infact order a 6spd with the 5.7L but the factory doesn't just ship them like that. It must be a specific order item.
Only a customer with a deposit could get special orders. The dealers have certain restrictions.

Ok so that pretty much explains it. It must of been custom ordered with the getrag, the heavy duty badge was just slapped on there, and I do have an extra leaf spring which the previous owner must have installed. and looking at my front coils it starting to look like I have a little spacer up there as far as i can tell. Im putting new struts on it this weekend ill confirm that.
