We ship 1500 rams to mexico labeled 2500. They have differant a "heavy duty" clasifications in mexico. You may have gotten one of these trucks.

Because the 4.7 is std with a manual and if you get the optional Hemi, you also have to buy the optional 5speed auto.
$945 for the Hemi
$1170 for the transmission.
$2115 is actual cost for the Hemi option

Wow interesting follow ups to my post. Damn people get really heated on this forum.
Ok so I figured it all out. I have a level kit on m truck ( i took apart the coil and strut assembly to see) it is 2'' level kit. I also have a 2'' rear add a leaf. I have IFS like all 1500s and I dont have a mega cab. The heavy duty badge was just put on there, as it will stay because I think its cool. I took my truck back down to the dealer on saturday to have the vin read. Interesting information I found. This truck was originally a 4.7L 1500 which would explaing the 6-speed. 4.7 blew at 9315 yes that low of mileage. and was replaced with the 5.7 owners option apparently and a good decision. So i have a truck with only 13603 miles on the new engine.

So to all of you out there...YES MY TRUCK IS RARE AND UNIQUE.

So the hemi can bolt up the the G238? Interesting. That is a strange story. Congrats on getting to the bottom of it.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but there have been other people who swapped out their 4.7 for a Hemi. Not trying to be mean, it's really not a rare vehicle. No matter what, it's not rare. It is a unique truck though, but so are many other vehicles on here.

Rare: Infrequently occurring; uncommon

Compared to most Rams, there probably aren't that many with that setup on the road. So yes, his truck is rare.
