Arrow Ebay exhaust kits??

Anyone have any experience with these sort of kits.I was forced to look at these because my local exhaust and muffler shop wants to charge me 500+ for a single in dual out system and with that at that price i didn't even bother asking about true duals. Here is a link to the kit in question http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge...Q5fAccessories

$500 for them to do a custom kit? damn thats crazy. way much money. go to another one. shouldnt be more than $350.. that kit you found isnt bad deal at all. i had the shop do mine for under $300 with a si/do muff then had it exit behind each rear tire at a 45 degree angle with some nice stainless tips. the muff and tips were $190 alone. i went to a plce that does cusotme xhaust all day so they dont have to rob people on the prices because they do awesome work real fast and do alot of jobs all day.

$500+? Where do you live? The exhaust shop near me did my SI/DO for $260 parts and labor, and $90 of that was the Silverline tips!

You need to make sure ANY dual out exhuast will fit with your spare tire and your tow hitch. Some don't fit with 20" wheels or aftermarket tow hitches.
The problem with both your local place making a system and that Ebay system is they are mild steel. I don't understand for the small amount extra you can own a Stainless system and it will last twice as long if not longer.
Most of my exhausts are purchased off Ebay primarily because it's convenient and I save Hundreds vs going through a major competitor like Summit...etc..

See something like this on ebay is stainless, will prob take an offer of $540 shipped and it's quality. it will fit! No mis alinment with many pre fab or cheapo kits. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MAGNAFLOW-EXHAUST-SYSTEM-02-03-DODGE-RAM-TRUCK-15813_W0QQitemZ260351996106QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMoto rs_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item2603519961 06&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A10|39%3A1| 240%3A1318
If Magnaflow isn't your thing then how about duals out the side? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-Truck-Parts-Accessories__FLOWMASTER-04-05-Dodge-Ram-Truck-5-7L-Hemi-Magnum-17398_W0QQitemZ270332805593QQadiZ2865QQadnZCarQ20Q 26Q20TruckQ20PartsQ20Q26Q20AccessoriesQQcmdZViewIt emQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=ite m270332805593&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3 A10|39%3A1|240%3A1318
I didn't see anything other than what you showed for FM's beside the side exit and were all aluminized steel. make sure you atleast get Aluminized steel since it will last longer than basic mild steel.

I would get charged close to $500 in NY as well. They charge $75/hr plus parts. They would easily charge $50 for material(pipes) and then retail price for any muffler of choice instead of discounted price or wholesale price. Plus all the labor to get the old exhaust off and prob a few hours to make the new one and get it all welded up. Bulk Pre-made kits are the way to go with factory manifolds.
Only would I pay that kind of money if I were to have Longtube headers installed.

damn you guys are getting ripped off then. a custom exhaust shop should easily be able to do catback system in an hour even custom bending pipes and welding. the place i went to was done in a little under an hour and i got a 2 year warranty on the work done. had it almost 3 years with no problems. if you get ripped off by the local custom exhaust shops then its better to get the prefab i geuss.

hi

I did this one but with 2,5" Mandrel-Bent tubing.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/dodge...Q5fAccessories
I had to do some modification on the pipe cause my ram is 2002 and I had to order 2001 to get 2,5" tubing. I had to cut one tube (driver side) turn it and weld together to get around the gas tank.
Sounds so good.

I bought a kit like this for my last truck and never had any problems with it. But it was also cheaper back then too, like $180 or so.
