Default Broken Spider gears from towing

I'm sure it wasn't exactly just from towing but after towing 1,000 miles this weekend, 15 minutes from home I heard boom. Well there went the rear diff. We pulled it apart last night and the pin bolt had broke, bent he pin, and broke one of the spider gears. Now I need to know where to get stronger ones. The dealer wants $400 just for them, there area set on ebay for $140 shipped. What to do?

Venom, I know Randy's Ring & Pinion (Google it, I'm too lazy) has Yukon spider gear kits for under $120 before freight! Much stronger than oem!

By the way, what does a "4 horse bison trailer" weigh, loaded?

Any idea if I'd have the 8.25 or 9.25?

I had to replace my silverado spider gears as they were wearing substantially. Apparently the bolt would break and the pic would shear on those as well. Much to my reasearch I found out that AAM was the manufacturer part. To buy through the dealer they wanted $289, aftermarket with AAM name was $89
