just goes to show how eager the dealers are to get rid of inventory.

You mean like their buy one get one free deals they had going on for a while... I dont think I'd sell my 05' but then again I have allot more invested in it... But yeah when I looked at the 09's they were going to give me 12-13k for my truck as a trade in value and drop the price a hell of a lot more than sticker value. They really are hurting

yeah, that's my dilemma, I went nuts on my truck, got like $8k in mods and that's with doing 90% of the labor myself. I'd lose my *** selling or trading it...
But I love my truck, I have a daily driver so the mileage stays down to like 6k-8k miles a year. I would like to have a CTD and solid front axle, but hell, I don't use the 1500 to near it's capacity anyway...

Well folks I think it was a "too good to believe" deal. Some of you may still shoot me though, Because it was a good deal.

I went back with my wife and talked to the same sales guy. He showed me the truck. It was not a bighorn model, It was lacking the Tow package and was a 4x2, only had a 4.7, Also did not have the moonroof.

It had heated seats, sat radio, nav system and a really really cool key (Wasn't a key persay, Square thing you put in the dash, That had the alarm buttons intefrated into the key, First time I ever saw anything like that.). Sticker on the truck was actually $29K.

I saw the lack of the 4x4 and moonroof (Yea im shallow) and pretty much decided that it wasn't for me, However, at the sales guys persistance I took it for a test drive. My god that was a smooth ride, Last time I had a ride that smooth I was in a new caddy, That almost made me want to say ill take it.

But I am sorry to say, My truck had absolutely everything I ever wanted in a truck and I like the color. So I passed on the deal. Stuff like 4x4, Moonroof and tow package were important to me.

The next one up that he offered me had the hemi and 4x4 but they wanted an extra $5K and it still didn't have everything I wanted.

Thanks for the support though guys.

"another" $5k sounds like his truck plus $8k, a much more plausible deal... but if your truck is just the way you want it, stick with it! I knew $3k was too good a deal for a Hemi 4x4 like you have...
