No maintenance means, no clutch packs to replace and no additive is needed. You still have to change the diff fluid as usual!

yeah i have a Auburn in my 04 ram and i really do love it....but i've said all along, if i had the money I would have bought the TruTrac...like the others have said, it's all gear driven and no clutches to worry bout....along with not having to add friction modifer to it, and can run synthetic with the TT....my opinion would be to wait just a little bit till you have the money for the TT and go with that

Actually with our trucks it is my understanding that we can only put one in the back. LSD's are readily availible for the rear 9.25 31 spline; however, for the 8'' up front I don't think there is anything that acommodates that. At least as far as a DTT or Auburn. So the best we will ever have is 3 wheel drive. I just which the badge on the back of my ram that says 4X4 actually meant 4x4.

I've had a DTT installed on my truck for about 4000 miles now.
Best thing I EVER did to the truck.
No more worries about that crappy stocker which btw the usual clutch retaining clips had fell out and were already causing me a headache!!! GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!
She drives a lot smoother with the DTT in and what's more I have confidence in my rear end once again.
Money well spent.
Al.

Well there is a reason that they do not make a unit for the front of a 3rd Gen 1500. Look under there sometime, you'll see. NO AXLE...
