yea, despite the horrible economy of this engine, and the relatively low power/weight, it is still on that list. it realyl is an amazing motor.

Do not short change the Hemi on the gas mileage. Any, yes any engine in a 5500-6500 pound vehicle shaped like a brick due to function over style is going to get sh*ty mileage. The hemi in a 300 will get you high 20's on the highway all day and that is no light weight. The Hemi in real life milege is in the ballpark with Ford, GM and the rice burners. Chrysler finally has unlocking front drive train and if it improves it's transmission efficiency, mileage could be an industry leader. My 74 Plymouth with a 318 (5.2 for you youngins, a mid-size engine for the time) never got 14 mpg. Hell, while my 93 Nissan could get 14-15 intown, it could only match my Ram with 17-18 on the highway, and you really could not compare it to a "real truck"
