Default Installed CAI but need some help

Alright, So I went the cheap route first and purchased a CAI with a K&N filter off Ebay. It goes right to the throttle body, so of course I take the "Hemi Hat" off. Install the new intake, but realize I now have no place to plug the sensor that had been plugged into the Hemi hat. I start up the truck anyway and get a "P0113 Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input" code. So if I roll with the sensor not plugged in am I going to do any damage? Bad gas mileage? What's a guy to do? Thanks in advance guys!

drill a hole into the intake get a gromit from home depot or any hardware store and put it in. easy and cheap fix. when i first got the ebay intake i had the same problem no place to put the iat sensor. the sensor just hanging around in the open engine bay isnt getting a good reading that its used to being in the airflow of the intake.
