Cool Tailgate?

On a ram 1500 how do you get at the bottom tailgate screws to remove it...is there a trick to it?

What screws? It should just lift right out on the passenger side then pull the driver side out. Never had to remove any screws to remove my tailgate.

Yeah you open it slightly, then lift up on one side (not sure which side) and that side will pop out. Then pull it out of the other side. Don't forget to remove the cables first.

You shouldn't have to remove any screws to take it off. Disconnect the cables, hold the tailgate open at a 45 degree angle and lift up and out on the right side. It will come off the hinge, then slide to the right to get it off the other side.

Like red06RAM said, you need to open it about 45 degrees. Then try lifting the passenger side out. You need to get the passenger side out before you can get the driver's side out.

Did it not come with a manual? If that's the case, you can download one from Dodge.
