I wasn't sure where to post this but this seemed like a good place to start. I have an 08 Ram 2500 that did not come with factory fog lights. It also doesn't have the headlight switch that is already set up for fog lights. Is it safe to assume that my truck also has no wiring harness preinstalled (either under the dash or outside the cab)? I've seen the complete kits online for approximately $140-175. They mention having wiring harnesses. Would these kits have the replacement headlight/foglight switch as well? Has anyone ever returned to a dealer to have them installed? I've also read about having the lights "activated" by the dealer...usually for an additional fee. That's the main reason I'm considering having the dealer install the kit so I can work the activation into the cost.

Thank you sir! Look under the front bumper driverside. You should see an unused plug that would be meant for fog lights. Plug should be red or orange in color if im not mistaken.

 

I installed mine myself and then took it to the dealer I bought it from and asked about the computer activation. They actually did it for free!

 

Mopar part # 82209047 comes with everything you need to add fogs to your truck. It does come with a new headlight switch. Will most likely have to have a dealer "enable front fog light output".
