Default 2008 Dodge Ram Exhaust Problems

I recently installed a magnaflow exhaust system on the truck. Well now it runs wierd once you maintain a steady speed. Im assuming this is due to the cylinder cutoff feature it has......... Question is>>>>>> Is there any fix to it besides driving with the overdrive turned off????

Yes. It eliminates the MDS.

I myself purchased the Diablo Predator just soley for that reason. To turn the MDS off. The truck runs and shifts so much smoother it's unbelievable. The 91oct tune gives better gas mpg's all around plus some extra pep. That's all with the MDS turned off.

Yep, it always ran "weird", you just didn't notice it with the stock muffler and more directly the stock resonators in place.
Yep, the Superchips or Predator will turn off MDS and as much as you see these ads and reviews on how much better your fuel economy is, nobody is reporting any worse fuel economy with the feature disabled...

Some are even reporting better mileage with it turned off.

I have an 07 with a magnaflow and I have no problems. When in 4cyl mode The exhaust is a little deeper sounding that's it. I also have a edge evolution programmer but I don't ever turn it on.

You have one of those nice edge programmers in the dash pod and don't use it? I always wanted one of them but they don't make it for the 04's.
