im wondering if there is anything i can do to improve the milage from 13 to somewhere around 16-18 .. i put new E3 diamond fire plugs in it and that improved it for 11mpg to 13 .. wondering if a chip or cold air will help??.. please let me know! thanks!

 

new gears...i had 3.55 in my 02 4.7 and was getting about the same mileage...the owner of the dealer here in town was saying that he's heard if they order the 4.7 with 3.92 gears it actually helps with mileage but take that for what you will....a CAI will help some (i noticed about 2 MGP when i put on my CAI), changing to synthetic fluids can actually help out a bit too

 

like nick said yes a CAI will help i had big gains on that 3-5 and i also changed all fluids (oil) and gained another 2-3 little things count dont just go out and fork over allot of $$$ on expensive stuff when little things add up
