This topic was covered last week but all Domestic gas tanks after something like 1987 come with either a screen in the tank or an anti-siphon filler neck. It makes it near impossible to siphon gas without poking a hole in the tank as you stated. However, that's still a tough task unless you use a cordless drill, a tap, barbed fitting and a rubber hose. It's kinda tough working super fast and having all that gas squirting outta that hoe. Not really worth it at that point.

Did you know that alarm systems have magnetic strips for the rear tailgate if someone has a hard tonneau? It's almost identical to home security strips but much smaller and thinner. You could actually put that where the gas cap is and if someone opens the gas cap, the alram goes off. Sounds like a good plan to me. No one should be touching what isn't theirs and even if they meant no harm it would still give them a heck of a scare...hehehe

I would be such a PIA at a self serve station, they wouldn't want to pump for me after the first time. I would make them pump gas into a 5gallon container and then I would pour it in my truck myself. No law against that anywhere! Last thing i want is some schmuck attendant spilling gas all down my paint or scratching it up with the nozzle.

I guess I need to stick a hose down the filler tube and see what happens.

Really? huh. Why do you siphon all the time? Are you that broke or does the Ford keep on burning up fuel pumps...hence drain the gas...ahahaha

No, The F-150 has a 30 gallon tank and a 20 gallon Aux tank. So when I run out gas in my lil 5 gallon tanks for lawn mowers, Snow thrower, power washer, generator, etc... I just siphon it out of the F150 instead of making an extra trip to the gas station and filling up again. Makes things easy and saves me a few trips to the gas station. Then when the F150 is empty, I throw the 5 gal tanks in back, drive it down to the gas station and fill it all up again.
