I just purchased a 2007 Ram 1500 4x4 Quad Cab and am extremely please with it thus far, it's only been less than a week. I knew the gas mileage going in and am perfectly fine with it.....but, what mods have you guys done to get just a little extra mileage out of your engines?
CAI, exhaust, programmer....those 3 will prolly help ya out the most....if you do alot of highway driving, redoing the gears would help some too (but that can get costly on ya)

Those all helped my gas mileage. I also got a nice bump in mileage when I installed an e-fan. Probably one of the better mods that I have done as far as mpg goes.
Hey Teacher...which e-fan did you get? Thanks for all the suggestions!
I got the fan off of a 3.8 Ford Taurus. It is a dual speed fan that pulls alot of air. I chose that fan for three reasons. First, it is cheap. I got it for $25. Second, it pulls a ton of air. I have it hooked to low speed and don't think I will ever need to hook up the high speed fan. Finally, it fits perfectly inside the stock shroud like it was made to go in there.
Thanks for the info Teach! How big of a jump did it actually give you? Your comments have me very curious
I got a solid 2-3 mpg increase from taking the clutch fan off and replacing it with the e-fan. I am calculating this by hand too, not relying on the overhead bc that thing is not always accurate.
