Question trany probs

ok here is my problem...i backed out of my drive ( everything ok ) then i pulled into McDonalds and i had no park ( so i put the parking brake on ) and then when i was trying to leave i noticed i didnt have reverse...the transmission didnt make any noise or indicate anything that it was going out....anyone have any ideas? oh its a 2003 dodge ram 1500 4x4 with the 360 motor

It's possible the reverse band strut broke. Try manuel low and see if it works and doesn't slip. If it works, then it's not broke. If it slips or acts like it doesn't want to go, then the strut broke. Hope this helps.

Sounds like the linkage isn't moving the transmission lever. Bad cable?

i have 1-5 but no reverse or park and yes i checked the trans fluid and when i put it in reverse the reverse lights come on......so i don't know

Do you have neutral?
