Did you keep pulling them out and working them apart every couple minutes? I think that is part of the process.

I think that is the problem. From speaking to people who have done this before, I believe that they only leave it in for a couple minutes, pull the light out and try to seperate the pieces, then put it back in for a couple minutes and repeat until the pieces come apart.

ok...i said screw it......I went ahead and bought a set of the nightrunners...and plan on tinting the amber strip black....no more kookin' headlights for me....i had to cut the whole black plastic up just to fit it all back in...lol...a lil duct tape too...and now im throwing a code that says....ambient temp high...i think it's my air temp sensor since i broke it in the process of reinstall....ahhhh this sucks. I paid 250 for the pair off of ebay...should be here by the end of the week.

That sucks that they melted. That's why I am scared to do mine. However painted to match would look pretty good on mine.
Btw, what color is your truck? It's been a different color in all of the pictures I've seen of it.

Those are some nice lights and I think they would look good on my truck. The only thing that I am not crazy about is the amber signal lens. I am taking my truck in for inspection this Friday and while I am there I am going to ask if I can get away with the clear signal lens in place of amber. If not, I am going to go with the amber signal black headlights.

I like that look though.....but I am too much of a sissy to try! LOL Show us some pics of the new setup when you get them.

I'm guessing that you did not even get to painting the chrome bezel!!???
