Opening headlights and painting the chrome bezel...

15 minutes is way too long! i did mine for like 3 minutes, pulled them out worked off some adhesived, stuck back in for like anoter 2 minutes and it was done!
for those that have an 02-05, these lights are pretty easy, with a little confidence it can be done quite simply. if you have an 06-08, the headlights are MUCH harder to do.

Now that is what I had heard the proper process is for cooking them, only a couple minutes at a time. But on that video they just say stick them in there for 15 minutes and let them cook. No wonder they melted.

i also did this a few days ago. and let me start buying saying, if i could, I WOULD NOT DO IT AGAIN. took several hours, and was not worth it. i did it to install a set of oracle halo eyes. when it came time to put the halos on, one broke right in half. given the headlights were open and i needed them back on the truck, i didnt have a choice but to close the lights back up. so the whole process was a waste other than i painted them to match the truck. looks pretty cool, but i would just buy the blacked out ones rather than go through the whole process. but i also put em in the oven for 15 minutes. at 235
