Default New 08 Ram 1500 4x4

Hey Everyone,
I Just bought a brand new 08 in August, after a deployment to Afghanistan... Im stationed in Germany now... Its barely got 2000 miles on it seeing as how I live on post... But it has traveled a bit. But I was looking for some advice on Mods... Performance Mods, and Appearance Mods.... Everything from Chips, Exhaust, Wheels and Tires, New Gears, Lifts, Brush Gaurds, Spot Lights, and anything else I might be missing.... I want my truck lookin as bad as all of yours!!
Any advice on Parts, Specific Manufacturers... advice on DIY projects, any stories about your mods (good or bad).. maybe a good order to follow on what to do first... ANY ADVICE AT ALL WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!

When it comes to appearance, wheels, exhaust and things like that, its all subjective to ones own taste...make it your own and what you like as far as that goes. Enjoy the truck and welcome to the forum.

YIKES!!! your best bet would be to just surf around the 3rd gen section, everyone always posts about their latest mods and ideas. dont ask too many questions because we can drain your bank account easily! and with everything you listed a book could be written about what to do. its about your taste and what you want to use the truck for.

Man, you want help spending that govt. pay check on mods, did you ever come to the right place!!!
For performance, most start with the Big Three* - Cat Back Exhaust, CAI and Tuner. Most bang for the buck! Then go from there...

Superchips has long been the best game in town, but the Diablo unit is worth a look. Only drawback to these units are they have generic "canned tunes" if you intend to go beyond the basic bolt-ons, like anything much past headers, then an SCT unit with it's available Dyno'd custom tunes is almost a necessity...

What color is your truck? You might want to go with a certain theme (black it out, chrome it up, lift it, lower it, etc.)

The only thing is that everyone has a blacked out truck now. They look good, but too many like that.
I'd just go with things you like on it. Get some tires, fender flares, lift/leveling kit, chip, CAI, exhaust. Some basic things.
