Default Got my 3815!!

came in yesterday. on Mileage XS now, at least till I go through this tank. Might run one more tank on MXS so I know if it makes a difference or not.

Don't really care much for the added horsepwer in 91 tune, it's not a track truck so high end HP doesn't do anything for me.

Definitely going to mess with it later today and this weekend to tweak shifts. I'm tired of this crap torque management and soft shift.

Personally I have found that I get better mileage on the 91 tune than I do on the 87, I dont have the Mileage XS tune (and I cant update it just yet) so I dont know how it differs from the 87 tune on the old version.

i have been thinking about changing mine from the 91 performance tune to the 91 tow tune since i just put 35's on. i just thought maybe it would run better on the tow tune. might try it out this weekend to see what happens.

I think i heard someone mention you should drive a hundred miles before the tune really takes affect since it's learning your driving habits. That's why I might go through another tank.

why don't you just reset the PCM, that will not take another tank or a hundred miles.

cuz my truck hates it when I reset the pcm. it starts rough, sputters, and rev limits at 4K the first couple times I drive after resetting.

Plus, 100 miles for me takes a day and a half...

Glad to hear you got one. I had to take mine off this morning to take my truck in for inspection. What a difference with the tune off. It was like driving a totally different truck.

My truck is not a big fan of the PCM reset either. Just doesn't run right for a little while after a reset.

You don't have to remove it for state inspection. Here in NY, they hook up a telephone line right from DMV's website directly to your OBD-II port. They scan for all the codes..etc My mustang NEEDS it's custom SCT tune to pass inspection. If I were to remove it I would fail. I have all emissions removed and turned off in the tune so DMV doesn't recognize that the car is suppose to have those features. Actually if I were to remove just before I went to the garage, my ECU would be flashed to erased mode and I would need to drive 100 miles bore everything reset itself enough for NYS inspection.

Or do you mean dealer inspection for warranty reasons??...lol

I was amazed how much smoother and better shifting the truck was with just the canned tune from Diablo. I felt like smacking the Chrysler Engineers silly for creating and producing such a terrible running/shifting truck.
I bought the tuner soley for that reason. No extra HP was thought of when that purchase was made!
