what would be the best gearing to run 36's on my 05 1500 ifs 4wd. i was thinking 4.56s so i can get towing power pack but not sure exactly which gears to buy.. please help going on a long trip soon and i need better gears possible if someone could give a direct link to the gears so i know what sizes to get.

thanks

From what I understand 4.56's are the lowest you can get into the 9.25" pumpkin. A few of the guys around here have done this already so you might check which brands people are running and how they're holding up. Also break-in is critical with new gears so you don't want to push em hard right outta the box.

thats a pretty good thread for 4.56's as far as prices and brands go. theres a few other threads, i just searched "price for gears" and a bunch came up.

4.56's to be sure, but it's not the 9.25" AAM rear that's the issue for 4.88s. They are readily available to our 2wd brothers, it's the front pumpkin nobody makes them for...
