Yeah I got family there, and my boyfriend has friends there, I thought about staying for a few days anyways, I have the settlement means I can take a vacation home. I miss the Midwest so much, I hate hillbilly hell and part of the reason why I travel so far from my 'residence' - I rather be closer to 'home' If all works out well, I plan on staying in the area for a week.

Yeah I would be definitely doing a combo, I would also maybe going up into the mountains as well to visit an old friend, nothing real steep like you think, but that is also why its a top rated company in the US, the view at night.

I want the b/f to be able to come out, but I think that he will not get a pass for it, or he will be in infantry school by then *sigh* freaking army... ugh... they wanna change his MOS and I bet you 10-to-1 they will end up cross training him, he will be in a unit where he will end using both... /rant lol

So we are looking at next month, I will be leaving with a check in hand to get my truck, from what I have gathered so far, I will have to spend about 2 weeks in town once I get it, which is the longest that I can stay there for dependant on other situational's and timing, but to wear in the 4.56's and to get everything done to the truck (liner, superchips, wheel to wheel, headlights/foglights) and safely break in everything so I can haul my car back fine.

YAY!!!

Now the bad news, the only other thing that has run in my mind was to make two trips in it all. The first one to drive up there, and on this trip I would sign the papers, get everything in order and get the truck ready and and drive the truck around to get about half the miles in on it, drive back and then the 2nd trip be to fly back, get the truck and finish up the initial mods, make sure the tuning on the superchips is good enough for me, do the other half, check the fluids, gears and everything before I leave to drive it back home.

Now like a dumba$$ I have been factoring something into all this that no longer applies, paying off someone else's truck. Which is like 20k+ that I could better use for something else. I got the papers in order and I looked at this and laughed, because I hadnt taken that into account to be removed yet, so flying home and all that, its not an issue now since I dont need to factor in paying off the other truck... HAHA Im stupid...

So any last minute sound offs or tips would be appreciated.

Thanks, Rodeo!

I've always liked a transmission temperature gauge for any towing that takes more than a bumper/ball hitch.

I just ordered one of those and got the replacement post pillar from Parts/Service to install it in. My fat a$$ broke my pillar while hunting in Ga. in Oct. No sense replacing a broken part when you can make it a "mod" for not much more money, right?

I keep thinking about replacing mine, but my financial advisor (aka wife) doesn't see the sense in replacing something that already works. I actually can't blame her, but the SRT pillar looks so much cleaner.

a gauge for that would be a great idea, but if I dont end up hauling the Colbalt back on a trailer and flying, I would probably save that til I knew when I would be hauling stuff. Which would probably be October this year, if all goes well anyways. So it would give me some time. I dont wanna blow all my money at once... I wanna pace myself LMAO
