My dodge is old
Well, I got a realization of why not to buy a 150k mile truck even though you'd never guess looking at it. I had a bad sound coming from the rear and decided to get it all professionally done.
Ring and Pinion
All new bearings
U-Joints
Rear Rotors
Brake Pads
$1,200 later
And right before that
Spider gears
Rear Shocks
Front Rotors and Pads
$350
Gotta love it, end rant.

yeah, I mean it sucks having to come up with over $1500, but the avg. for rear ring & pinion, install kit and installation alone is $900 or more, so you did get away with a great deal on all the work you had done though...
not a bad idea, preventative maintenance at this point should get you easily another 50k on that bad boy, maybe change the air filter too, i hope my truck last for 150k!!

Well my old girl is at 131 XXX miles and she is still running strong. Last mechanical problem I have had was a busted thermostat but that was easy. Im just glad the previous owner a) looked after the truck and b) put new brakes on it just before i bought it.
Wow, can't beleive there a truck would just give in at 150k. The truck even still blue books in at 9k. Everything is running strong. The motor I'm expecting to go at around 200k and during that wait I'm going to build up a Hemi to throw in. The frame is perfect, it looks brand new. In fact until this year it had never even been out in the winter. It's never towed before I bought it. After this collection of work I think the only thing that it will need for at least the next year is tires. Everything else as far as I can tell is sound. The tranny even still shifts firm, the engine still runs strong, and no leaks.
