I've been thinking about this too. Does anyone know what trans was used in the Ram 2500's with the hemi & manual trans? I know min has the NV3500 HD.... And i have a hemi motor sitting in my garage from my friends 05 that was totaled. Just dont have the funds to just pull it out and put it in yet.... Need to slowly accumulate all the parts and wiring im gonna need.

 

I put a thread on CustomDakotas.com that shows step by step how to put a Hemi in a Dakota.INCLUDING wiring pin-outs...Putting one in your truck would be easier . Look it up under Hemi Dakota swap here's how..It's a poor man build and shows how to do it without spending any money..I also have a thread here listed "Dakota Hemi swap with pics"..The pictures are on page 1,6,8,10 I think.there's also a burn out on page 10.It also shows how to do it,but not in as much detail as CustomDakota.com.. I can answer any question you have about putting a Hemi in your truck, and tell you how to do it at almost no cost..Let me know when you want to and I'll send you the pin-out's you'r going to need for the wiring..You have to splice them into your pdc..It's great that you have the complete doner truck, you can do this swap for almost nothing..
Don't worry about your 4.7 transmission. If you like it keep it It'll bolt up to the Hemi...
