Default hella 500 questions

The wifey is gettin me some hella 500's for v-day
Should i get the driving light kit or the fog light kit?
I already have my stock fogs so i was thinking the driving kit?
Also I am planning on trying to hook them up to my highbeams
any good write ups on this?
From what i have read there is some confusion on what wires to use?
also do both kits come with everything i will need to mount them behind my grille and wire them up?
thanks
-scott

If you have stock fogs get the driving beam. There's parabolic and free form. The kits come with pretty much everything you will need. You will just need a few tools maybe some wiring connectors and wire wrap tubing. I'm running the driving beam.

Parabolic compared to standard free form acrylic lenses on incadecsent, quartz, glass features, reduce glare. For example, A three tube fixture with a deep cell parabolic lens produces as much light as a four lamp fixture with an acrylic or glass lens.

Generally you see free forms on non street legal applications with high wattage. You see parabolic on street legal appilications because it does not have as much glare and a more direct light (like a beam) and requires less wattage.

In theory a parabolic is a better light design, but can be too direct for certain applications. Street lights for example are free form.
