Default Reg Cab Rear Speaker help...

I just purchased new Pioneer speakers 6 x 9 for the front, and 5 1/4 for the back.(GREAT deal at Circuit City:Going out of business) I just put the front ones in with no problem. But i am just wondering if anyone knows how to get to the rear speakers behind my seat belts, THANKS.

You have to remove the seat belt anchors to get the panels off I believe.

more than likely you have the bass turned up at the radio which the larger 6x9's can handle but the rear 5.25"s just arn't made for it and will begin to distort.. and if that has been done for any long period of time they are more than likely toasted.

don't bother replacing them unless you get a new headunit. because as long as you're playing it that way the new ones will blow too. distortion will destroy the best speakers regardless. if you watn louder bass then either consider a small subwoofer set up or replace the head unit and get new speakers the entire way around. if you just replace the rears i gaurantee it will happen again
for reg cabs tho you have sooooo much room to do like a single or dual tens behind the seat that you could get some nasty bass out of it.

it won't be that bad since you have standard audio upgrades are so nice and easy and you can great sound from aftermarket stuff for a decent price

i've already blown one of my 6x9's and i have the bass at -5... it's just cuz i don't give two ****s about the factory speakers.... if i want more volume i turn it up.. i know it's distorting but i don't care it's not that bad and the extra volume is worth it lol. i plan on going high end audio in mine anyway so meh...

what about replacing my speakers with aftermarket ones and keeping the stock stereo. i dont think they will blow because aftermarket ones can handle higher power and the stock radio doesnt put out enough power to blow them.
i know that if i just replace my stereo, all the factory speakers will definetly blow because they cant handle the extra power.
what about just hooking up a sub to the factory stereo and reducing the bass on the speakers? any issues with that? also how much do those back 5 1/4" speakers help anyways?
