I dont run any amps...i just run a 10 meter radio. I can talk to people in China if i start running USB or LSB. Most average CBs dont get coverage over 1 to 2 miles. I can push maybe 7 when i run the standard 40 channels. I only have 1 antenna and its nothing special.

I usually get about 7 miles on mine, but I only run about a two foot antenna on top of the cab. Learned my lesson though, antenna was a magnet mount, and while parking, hit a tree branch. It was knocked clean off of the roof, and lost the battle with the ground. Great reason to spend some money on the truck again though.
