Camshaft?
Now I have a question for you. The black grill in your pic, did you buy that somewhere or just paint a chrome one?
Sure do. That is what I want to do with mine but just haven't been able to decide if I wanted to paint mine or buy a new one that is already black. Wasn't sure how painting it would look but yours came out nice.
yea i was gonna buy one so i said what the heck i'll tape it off and spray it im gettin a new one anyways but then i liked it so i just kept it. then i did the ram 1500 and the running line across the bottom and the rims they all turned out nice so thats what i went with.
I ought to keep my friggin mouth shut, but I cant make myself! Dammit! First of all, for those not experienced with engine internals, dont fool with a cam swap! It is real easy to muck it up. I have had three cams in my truck, and have settled on the Comp 268. The 6.1L cam is a blast in a rcsb 2wd, It will be a rocket above 3500 rpm, but will cost you dearly on the bottom end. This cam also reacts well with nitrous, clean hard power all the way to 6500 rpm.
The KRC210 is an awesome cam, but did not fit my needs at all. I could not use nitrous below 3500 rpm without blowing the tires away. It makes GOBS of torque on the bottom end, great cam for heavy trucks, especially 4 wd's. This cam will work with stock springs, but 6.1L springs are cheap and the seat pressure is actually more than the aftermarkets offered by Comp, and just a tad less then Manley springs. This cam reacts well to headers and a free flowing exhaust, look for power to start dropping off about 5300 rpm. It will work with no mods at all, but is much better with them.
Comp 268 is for serious power in the mid and upper rpm ranges. It takes a lot of tuning, but will produce massive power in the mid to upper rpm ranges. I do not recomend this cam to novice hot rodders. This one is for serious street rods only.
here is a great install write up on HEMI cams:

A few notes on cam installs:
1)All gaskets are o-ring type and do not need to be replaced if you dont tear them up
2) The water pump- front cover will come off as an assembly, no need to remove water pump (at least on my 04 it will)
3) use a strong magnet to catch the spring retainers, they will drop and disapear if you dont(buy some extras, you will most likely lose one or two, you can get them from your local Dodge dealer)
4) You need a reliable air source to keep the valves in place when you remove the springs. Hemi plugs have an extremely long reach and most compression tester fittings will not thread in to the plug holes(those with multiple thread sizes) do your self a favor, and get one of these

5) Get a new crank bolt(the bolt that retains the harmonic ballancer) this is a "stretch bolt" and will lose its tensil stregnth onece torqued. DO NOT INSTALL THE BALANCER WITH AN IMPACT GUN! this can cause the stretch bolt to gaul the threads, then your in deep do-do
6) remove the upper radiator brace, onece removed you can sit on the bumper and work in relitive comfort
Thats all I can think of for now, if something comes to me, I will post again. Hope this helps.
