Basically you replace the stock clutch fan with an electric fan. I didn't think it was that hard but you have to judge for yourself. If you can use basic hand tools and follow a basic wiring diagram you can do it. Here is a writeup on how to do it, you can decide if you think you can handle it based on this.

a Viper or even a Flex-A-Lite will not ADD any horsepower whatsoever to your engine, nor will ANY e-fan, so NO it does not matter what brand you use or if you get a fan from a Ford Taurus...

You mean it doesn't add any power to the motor it just frees up power that was robbed by the clutch fan, correct? But you would still see a small increase at the wheels.

It removes the parasitic loss caused by the clutch fan, so there is an increase of power to the wheels (some guys have checked on the dyno)but it is not a result of adding power by installing the e-fan. It is a result of removing the loss caused by the clutch fan.

Thanks you two! I specifically answered that the way I did for a reason. I was waiting to be told that I recommended the e-fan cause it added HP and then contradicted myself. But that's ok, rob me of my fun...
