Also, what powdercoat gun did you get and what are you planning on doing with the rims? Complete powdercoat or maybe leave the lip of the rim natural? Let's hear the plan.

Im still waiting to hear back from a fellow DF'er that was going to trade me my stock 17's for his 20's. Im headin to tx tomorrow.
The plan is JUST the spokes leaving the entire outer edge and also the "platau" of the spoke that leads to the outer lip and also the center.
I got a craftsman 17288 powdercoat gun. It normally runs for 200 bucks and saw it on clearance locally for 47...i couldnt say no.

Thats just the tire size. Lip to lip is larger...maybe up to 22 inches.
Im looking at a couple used stoves with different dimentions...just wanna make sure i can get 1 that will at least accomodate a 20" wheel.

Coating the rims like that should look sweet. I saw a guy once that had them like that and it looked really good.

I just went out and measured the rim, it is 21.5" from lip to lip.

Thanks much for the measurement man i appreciate it.
Im really looking fwd to doing it BUT...that measurement scares me. The average home stove is only 18.5 inches...to get an oven large enough to fit that wheel in could end up getting costly.

yeah, maybe ask a local pizza shop to see if you could use their oven but then again, i dont think the customers would like eating pizza that tastes like powdercoat
