Transmission FYI
Hey guys,
A few months ago I had posted a thread concerning a transmission problem I was having. I have a 06 truck that I drive mainly on the weekends. The problem I was having was that it felt like it was not engaging when you first started it up. “Freewheeling” for lack of a better term. I took it in and was told that it was fine and they could not find a problem. I let it go and drove it as usual. I kept noticing the same thing. I took it back last week because my battery had died (they had to replace it) and asked them to look at the transmission issue again. When the mechanic got into the truck the next day the problem was noticeable. The point of the story is this: There is a check valve in the transmission cooler that was not operating properly and they replaced the cooler. The change was dramatic. The truck as much more pick up and you can feel the truck shift much better.
Just wanted to pass along the information
