If it is a power window, than that is a pretty good price. I had the manual slider in my truck from the factory. And like everyone says, in a QC it sucks to try to turn around and open it, and I am pretty tall. I bought the power slider, and as far as installation goes, it wasn’t actually wasn’t as bad as I thought. Although, the dealer had a glass company come and install the window, it was more expensive for the wiring, done by the dealer, than for the actual window install itself. I think labor was around $200-$250 total, but I can’t remember exactly.

Electric slider is the way to go. If it is manual make sure you can reach it from the front seat. I open mine a lot but it is only because I can reach it from the front seat without a problem. If I had to get in the back like some others have described I would probably never open it.

the other advantage to having a slider vs. not is you can haul long pieces of wood/metal if you have to. I have used mine several times and it has been great. I can have material go from the dashboard out past the tailgate if need be. kinda handy, but I never woulda thought about it until I needed to haul something. I really really do wish it was power though, i would use it alot more.

Good point. I have carried pieces of corner bead and crown molding through the back window. Made it much easier to just slide it through the window and under that dash rather than securing it down in the bed with it sticking out the back or up over the roof.
