I don't know what's wrong with it, but get it towed to a shop other than that shady dealer you have been using. Then get a lawyer and make them pay for all the crap they screwed up on your truck.

yeah im not to sure if you read the other post I had about the motor or not but My driveway is still covered in oil stains from my supposed new hemi..thats going to be a different battle later on this spring im sure. I also call Chrysler canada to file a complaint and they told me they would investigate and call me back within 48 hrs and were going on 2 months maybe even 3 now.All i got was a call from Brantford Chrysler saying they got a call regaurding my complaint to Chrysler Canada. This is after I told the lady at CC that I didnt want to go with that dealer anymore. So not only does she not call me back she tells the same dealer im sooo sick of to call me. Im just totally bummed with Them right now.Im left with a real bad taste in my mouth over this truck. Thanks for lettin me vent!
Sheesh you would think with this economic BS right now they would want happy customers..My next truck willbe a Toyota by the looks of it, I dunno

Maybe a Pinion bearing or the pinion itself.

Not to sure if they do or not. The truck was towed away on a dolly today..My neighbour who is also a good friend and drives a 96 silverado put a sign on his front lawn and put it where I can see it that says " Should have bought a silverado" How sad is this for me....HUH..

Too bad he wasn't a Furd owner. I had a Furd I bought new, crack a piston and basically leave my a$$ stranded half way home towing a "massive" 3300 lbs. of bass boat home from a tournament with 14k miles on it. Had to have an atty. write a letter to get them to finally "OK" the warranty engine rebuild because I had "modified" the truck.
I had a cat-back exhaust put on. That's when two things happened. I learned what "Magnusson-Moss" was, and I swore I'd never own another Furd!!!

One's just as bad as the other, kid...

Why is it they dont build them like they used to? The new dealer im now dealing with isint all that great either. He said the pinion gear shaft snapped and that doesnt just happen.didnt want to cover it under warrenty..Im alot smarter than I must look. I promptly went down there and had a look myself. The shaft was indeed snapped. I had a look at the pinion gear inside the hub still.there were al kinds of teeth missing or the gear itself. I told him the broken teeth could have lodged up in there and locked everything up and in turn snapped the shaft. He then said that is still from abuse..Argh, you can now see what im dealing with. I then say do those gears get set right in or are they backlash adjusted? He told me they were backlash ajusted. I then ask how does he know they were ajusted correctly from the factory? That would explain the failure at 26 thou K. Now all of a sudden its covered under warrenty and I have a loner car to get me by.
He then told me the real problem is that dodge has a little book that covers so much of the expense and his guy cant fix it in the time frame that dodge will pay for. Not my problem take it up with dodge. This is unreal. He also said that he hopes to make up the extra cost in future sales and service..Unreal im running out of dealerships to go to.If he fixes it and smiles and shakes my hand when handing me mykeys back to me ill be hapy.Other wise im a toyota man next time. I dont care what they cost. Im willing to spend the cash.
after seeing those mini Dodge movies on the internet there is nooooo way I could do that **** to my dodge..It would be in the scrap yard in no time.Damn glass trucks

Is your rear end a limited slip? If so, it's possible the retainer let go & roached your whole setup. I could be wrong, but it's a possibility.
