Default Are Ram trucks this horrible???!!!!

Ok first the hydrolocked hemi in a foot of water now the rear end gets a bad vibration lastnight on the 401 hwy in toronto. I drove it home. Barely. I go to get beer for the 500 on sunday and BOOM im not going anywhere. The rear diff is locked solid. It wont go forward but it will go in reverse. Thats only in 4x4...WTF its a 08 with less than 24thou kms.Looks like the entire drive shaft is still connected to the diff and it all wants to fall out of the diff. Im soooooo dissapointed with this truck. What has happened and is it covered under warrenty? Thanks again guys. I just cant belive my luck

Im just looking at your sig pic there..She looks sunk good there.Im thining when my hemi hyro-locked it sat in water for a while. Somone on here told me to tell the dealer to drain my diffs and they refused and said there is no way water could get in there..Im willing to bet when they (different dealer) take the cover off its full of water. I will send hate mail if tere is...lol. I have owned new Gm's fords and this lemon of a dodge. I honestly have never had such problems with a new vechile

to hydro lock it would have to be sucked into the engine so you must have been in like 3 ft for that to happen and no problems with mine at 90k mi

I'd tend to agree with you 'feej, I've had mine to where I was sweating it out for water coming in the bottom door seal, you take it slow enough, you won't take in any water through the TB...

Ok well maybe it was 16 inches max.. It wasnt even up to my knee deep.here's the entire situation well doccumented.. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...employees.html

The thing is the water went up the inside of the wheel well and right into the airbox.I sh*t you not. anyhow The funny thing was when I was finally dragged out of the flooded section by a gm and an old ford ranger (stock) went right through the same section with my hemi up on the flat bed hauler..The reason I think the water got in the diff was because when it went in the water the tire blew out dropping the rear end down in it.It appeared some gravel got wegeded inbetween the tire bead and the rim. Needless to say I have had my hands full with this pig of a truck. Can water get in the diffs at all? what about launching a boat? They go wayy deeper than my diff ever was??

your dealer is all wet, I've checked mine and was ok both times I got in water over my diffs, but have had many a hunting buddy stick a finger in and have that "milky" look you get when water mixes in there. Trust me, water can get in there!!!

Also, I tournament bass fished for almost a decade, and never did I have to submerge my rear differential to launch my boat, hell I could usually stand dry at the rear bumper to climb up onto the boat by way of the trailer and never get my feet wet...

so..what does everyone suppose let go?the entire knuckle that attaches to the drive shaft is ready to fall out.I stuck a shovel handle in and wedged it between the drive shaft and the leafspring and it all just sorta flopps around
