Default Just did the power steering clamp...

Fingers crossed, hope its fixed....when i tightened down the new clamp it sounded like air was escaping as it sealed the hose (strange??), so i am HOPING that fixed it since it should now be air tight. Cleaned up everything real good and the only place i could trace any leak to was that damn line. The "clamp" on the line that had come from the factory was basically a glorified zip tie.

ps my truck goes from sitting outside in subzero weather to a 70F garage everyday, so im guessing that transition from hot to cold it helping contribute to thehose leaking.

The clamp should work. I did mine a week or two ago and haven't had a leak since.

Clean it up with brake clean to get the residue off. I've changed those hoses a few times, IIRC for like 40 bucks it comes with both hoses the fitting and a loom to make it look pretty.

It will work if its tight enough. I had to go back and tighten mine more, it started leaking right away. Yep, the stock clamp was sooo loose it was rediculous.
