Default Nitto dune grappler?

I'm considering getting some 17x9 cragar soft 8's and some 35ish tires. I really like the way the dune grapplers look but since I really don't do any off roading I need a tire that works well on the street and has good mileage. Does any of you have these and how many miles are you getting out of them?

dune grapplers are sand tires. i would put down some money on them doing horrible on mainly street driving. probably loud as hell, and wear down REAL fast.

The tread on the dune grapplers are very close together compared to a mud tire. I read on a website that they had 4 out of 5 stars on street and sand driving but didn't tell the mileage expectency...

The Dune Grapplers actually look pretty cool. One guy I work with had a buddy of his come in with some of those on a Chevy. They looked to have decent tread left, but I don't have any and really couldn't tell you how they do.
