Yea I hear edge is priced around royal purple and amsoil...I haven't seen any on the shelf around me yet.

 

$8 a qt. from what ive heard, pretty expensive.

 

They have Edge around here for about 10 cents cheaper per qt than the others (mobil 1, etc). It's like $7.40 a qt.

 

Walmart sells 5qt jugs of mobil 1 for $23 too....if you're paying $7.50 a qt you're shopping at the wrong place. It use to be $19.99 same as penz platinum but it's been slowly creeping up.

 

I've been running royal purple in all my vehicles. I can get it for a 6 bucks a quart. I use either a mobil1 or K&N filter. ( it depends on which one is in stock )

 

I figure the $7 + per quart price is coming from Adavnce... thats where I seen it that expensive. I plan to run Royal Purple also along with Red Line in all the cases.

 

You are correct, sir. Advance Auto Parts is where I see it that expensive.

I use Amsoil synthetic oil in my vehicles. I run DEO 5W-40 in my Ram and use a Fleetguard Stratapore filter. The cost of the oil + filter runs about $90.

My Chrysler 300M gets ASL 5W-30 and an Amsoil Ea filter. Five quarts of ASL and an EAO42 synthetic filter runs about $55 with tax and shipping. Sounds expensive, but I can get by with changing it just once per year.

 

I use castrol GTX syntec right now. I usually get 2 jugs of it and a fram synthetic filter. it come out to around $85 an oil change... I change it every 5k miles.


I buy my oil at canadian tire, and they still dont have any there.... next time I go outta town, I'm gonna look for it.
