will these work as a direct replacement for the factory exhaust manifolds?

yes but you're wasting your time with shorty headers unless you absolutely cant touch your cats due to emissions laws. the exta few buck for the long tubes are well worth the extra gains. do a few searches on headers and you'll get tons of info

i dont really want to mess with the o2 sensors that much. i was wonder what kind of gains would i get if i went with

K&N intake (the filter and tube kit)
Airaid throttle body spacer
JET stage 1
Gibson shorty headers
Flowmaster American Thunder cat back dual side exit
stock cat (i know this is the major thing that has its negative effects)

minor, shorty headers usually give in the ballpark of 5-6 RWHP. I don't think LT's are an option, or at least weren't a year of so ago. If you are going to go to the expense of headers, try and find you a good set of mid's. Will about double the gains of the shorty's...

i cant find any on the jegs or the summit racing site. perhaps you could point me in the direction to find some mids

KRC Performance will have them, but they are primarily a performance shop, so they are gonna be on the high side, cost wise.
Moe's Performance would be a good bet and nobody carries the 4.7 stuff like Air Ram, try them out...
