Default new subwoofer enclosure installed 04 QCSB

ok. I finally got the final product installed in my truck. When piped in on an earlier post, (i think dirty was the OP), I claimed to have gotten right at 1.00 cubic foot per sub. Well, we changed the MDF size from 5/8 to 3/4, and left the carpet in. Lifted the seat 1 1/4", and built on top of the cubby hole, pretty much. All in all, I got .90 cubic foot per sub, plus 50% poly pac. Its sounds great! ive got a bridge 620 watt amp pushing. Deep tones, and window rattling sound. Post pics in a minute.

Q: Where do yall put a second amp? cant find a good space for right now... 2nd is for the door speakers...

Glad to hear.

Out of rough calculations. By raising your seat 1.25" you gained almost .30cu/ft per sub!

I have my amp for the mids/highs under the driver seat and my sub amp is under the pass. seat. I took the jack and tire iron and was able to tuck them under the seat on top of my speaker box. I just slid them back against the wall in the "crotch" of the seat. They stay put and you cannot even see them. It works out great because there is a removeable plastic cover to access under the pass seat and I was able to remove it and adjust the settings. My sub amp is a tight fit but that cover helps because it allows for a larger amp since it goes right to the door almost if you were to lay the amp side to side. My highs amp is front to back and it kinda hangs out.
I'm going to be removing my whole interior to dampen rattles and suppress some noise coming through the back wall and doors. When I do that, I will be mounting my amps on the back wall behind the seat. I just haven't figured out yet what I want to do for a quick release to fold the seat down since it moves up/down in the track?? Or, the amps are adjusted for life...lol

wow, I didnt have a chance to post pics and you guys responded... man o man

I was thinking i would just take my jack out, and put it in the tool box, or even just put one of my 6 ton jacks in the tool box. i think it would hurt my MPG...hahaha

I have my sub amp under the driver seat right now. works good. I dont have it bolted down right now. is pretty snug, considering it has cool fins on the top, so it stands kinda tall.

thanks for your interest guys!

PS... I just noticed, i went from rookie to a professional on my title under my avater!!!!! WOOOHOOOOOOO. this might worth another post... alright im over it...

Gotta tuck that carpet back in behind the molding there...

Also, why didn't you sand and paint those bars your using for risers? That rust look has gotta go!
What kind of Subs are they? Kinda oldschool looking???

ahh!!! i was all proud of my setup...

hahaha... carpet tuck... check. I had them painted, but it was a quick coat.. kinda half a$$. they will be repainted soon, i thinking of even painting them that rubberized undercoating.

They are 10's. they are crossfire BMF series. Crossfire's top of line 10, when they were manufactured. Ive had them for a while now, and just had them installed. I havent kept up with the market, so i dont know if there is something better or not.

look old school, naw, just simple... that carpet thing is bothering me... gotta run...
