Need honest answer about Superchips programmers
A couple of questions as well...
1. Do you have to run a higher octane to see any improvements/
2. Can it be used on more than one truck. I have an 05 and my Dad has an 08... could we both use it to reprogram?

most guys are getting the best performance on the 91 tune. i am running the 87 tune right now with 89 in it and can tell the difference between stock. you cannot use the tuner at the same time. once it is programmed to your vehicle it is locked until u return it to stock and unlock it. then it can be used on your dads truck.
No he's looking at it right, well at least the way its labled. The chart itself is calling out the wrong information. specifically the notes written next to each curve. If you look at it the torque curve is labled as NEW HP and NEW TQ and the HP curve is labled as OLD HP and OLD TQ which is incorrect. Now with that said your explaination above is how it should be labled and read. Hope that clears things up a little
edit: this is the best I can do while on a conference call, lol

Close up

Its still labled wrong, take a look at the actual hand written text that is pointing to each curve in the close up view of that dyno chart, that is what is wrong and throwing people off.

[quote=truckin151;1565754]I rally don't think it is. maybe i'm seeing this the wrong way? Both stock (old) numbers drop off early and SC (new) number sontinue. After 5200 RPM, HP is higher than torque. I don't see the problem.
Edit: Forget all that bs I've been saying, I just got a chance to look at it on a larger computer screen where I can look at the lines better, I guess it could be correct but right where they all intersect the lines look like they follow the same curves as the others. and on my little 10" field moniter I have in my new work truck they looked like they were calling out both torque comparisons as the new curves for both hp and tq.....
