Yeah, I liked that truck, but it was too much for a DD. Once we get things back on track I'm gonna check out the '06+ models. I really wanted one of them anyways due to the coilover front suspension, and MDS (although I've heard no one really cares for MDS on here....LOL.)

Thanks again folks!

I had to have my wife (now ex) come the 40 some odd miles to hook up the boat and have the truck towed.
Yes, I understand that could happen to any make, but it's how Furd dealt with it that is the reason I will never own another one!
They tried to refuse warranty, because I modified the truck! It had a 3" body lift and a CAT BACK friggin' exhaust, and the kicker was to finance it all together, I had the dealer source both and have them installed! All under one damn invoice, from Furd!!!
I ended up without the truck for just shy of 2 months and finally had to get an atty. involved (that's when I learned about Magnuson-Moss). When they rebuilt the engine, I made it a point to stop by the dealer and keep an eye on things. Some 19 year old kid wearing his pants down and boxers out, with his hat on sideways, constantly asking questions from the other mechanics every step of the way was the one working on it. Really pissed me off!
Didn't trust the truck, three days after I got it back, it sat at a Dodge dealership and I was driving a brand new 1500 RCSB 5.9 Magnum 4x4. I'll NEVER own another Furd!!!

I can understand where you're coming from. It's probably a good thing you got rid of it anyways....EVERY SINGLE F150 in the '97 body style has stress cracks on the window frame of the door, lower right (lower left on the pass side). This was due to a poor design that over-stressed the door frame. Check it out next time you see one...I always do since someone pointed that out to me.

I usually have plenty of time. My current job has it's slow times, and right now is one of them.

But other days I'm so busy I don't even have time to think about getting on the internet. I'm just glad I finally got some work to do. They brought me in for this project that was gonna be "so" busy....it took nearly 2 months before I even felt like I was doing any work. I sure do like their definition of busy.

You gotta remember Hammer, There are dodge horror stories like that to. But I can understand your reluctance to touch a furd product after that.
