Yea that's another thing that bothers me. How dumb and/or inconsiderate are people that they just swing their door open into someone's vehicle? Those and the hit and run people just need to be kicked in the teeth.

Maybe, but when my only car was only worth like 200 bucks and I didn't go around hitting other people's cars. My theory is that most people are just selfish douche bags who only car if what they did hurt their car or them. I just had work done on a whole side of my truck and it only took a week for someone to open a door into it and scratch the paint.

Your campus doesnt happen to have security cameras on the lots do they?
I know my campus does, and a buddy of mine got his whole front end taken off by a little import suv. Called campus security and they pulled up the cameras and we got to see the whole thing. Turned out though that since it was on private property like that there was nothing he could do to get the girl that hit him to pay. It sure was funny as hell to see the look on her face a couple of weeks later when he stopped and had a chat with her.

Report this to incident the police so you can get a case number (showing the incident actually occurred). I doubt it if the police will expend much effort trying to catch the culprit as (1) no one saw the driver when the crash occurred, (2) it occurred on private property, and (3) most officers run from call to call as it is.

Nonetheless, the culprit probably attends the same school that you attend, but they will probably park in another parking lot for awhile.

If this gets solved, it will be because you expended some energy solving it. Try running an ad in the campus paper (if you have one). I bet someone saw it but didn't want to get involved.

BTW, in most states, hit-and-run is a criminal offense and applies to private property crashes, too.

theres no cameras in the lot. they have a huge watchtower in the across parking lot but it wasnt up yesterday. i dont think theres a point to file a report nothing is gonna happen... the schools police is worthless and only cares about giving parking tickets

there car has to be in that parking lot somewhere. i would go back on that same day a little before it happend and go around looking at the front of peoples cars. it has to be pretty obvious who hit you. just sucks so many people go to your school lol. Hopefully your insurance will take care of you good luck.
