ok so i go to class today park in my the usual parking spot. get out of class, get to my truck then go home. when i got home looked at my passenger side and its scratched/dented all along the bottom quarter panel. the whole pass. side. wtf??? so obviously someone hit me looks like with there liscense plate and messed up my truck. theres no cameras so i cant prove anything. what do i do??? can i claim this on my insurance? will my rates go up? will post pics later when i get home.
you will be able to claim it on insurance and your rate will not go up because it is a personal claim if you hit someone and showed you were at fault yeah it might go up but for a hit and run it shouldnt unless your insurance company sucks i rear ended somebody back in nov and mine never went up and it involved 2 other cars
Man, that is some $h!t that someone would do something like that. I don't think your insurance will go up. Something similar to his happened to me before with a hit and run and my insurance didn't go up.
its basically the same as the uninsured motorist insurance, more than likely wont make your insurance go up but still what a pain. Its also one of the reasons I got an alarm on the truck that pages me whenever something happens to it and it goes off. Works up to a mile away.
No fault should not make your insurance go up, but that said, if your deductable is close to the cost of repair it may not be worth the hassle of a claim.
Irresponsible people suck!!!
i would go get an estimate from a shop before you file it on your insurance. If it is less than your deductible or right at it then its more of a waste of time to file it with your insurance.
You may need/want a police report just to have a paper trail. Who knows, they might stop somebody for sme other reason and notice Dodge-colored paint on the bumper.
