I have a 04 ram with the 5.7 hemi. This morning my way in to work she did some weird stuff. I went to try to acitvate the cruise control, and it would not activate. Then i tried to pass a slower truck, it would kick down to pass and when it got to 4000 rpm, it was like it hit a rev limiter. It runs fine up to 4000 rpm. I then got off at my exit, turned the truck off and then back on. Runs fine after that. Anyone had this problem?

 

Limp mode maybe? You getting any kind of a CEL?

 

what would cause this?
