What is everyone using for Octain Gas in your Hemi Trucks. 87, 89 or 93?

 

I'm running the 89. I've not seen any benefit to running anything higher.

 

I use 87. I tried 89 no differance only cost more. Tried 93, once what a waste of money. MPG went down. Won't do that again. When I pull my boat I'll use 89. The last time I did that I got 13.4 mpg. I went a hundred miles. The boat and trailer weigh in at 6,000 lbs.

 

the hemi will RUN on 87, but not much else. 89 is optimal for the engine.

 

Mine RUNS just as well on 87 as it does on 89 and I save $

 

I use 87...dealer recomended....last check 19+ highway and 14-15 local. 04 Hemi

 

Same as RedLine for me, 19 highway 13-14 in town on the regular 87. Tried the 92 and the 89, higher the octane the worse the gas mileage, go figure. And dude at $45 a tank full, twice a week for me, I aint wastin no money on anything more than the 87!

 

Same here, I run 87 and my Hemi is Supercharged. I wish I got that kind of gas mileage. I get an average of 9 mpg, and that was before the S/C was put on.

what kind of gas mileage difference did you have before-after the supercharger? I would like to put one on mine, but maybe as it gets closer to the warranty running out... although it has plenty of power for what I use it for.

 

I also run 87 in regular use, 89 when I'm towing my car trailer. No need to go higher- justs wastes $$$$.
