Worth Customizing?

Im gonna keep this thing forever. If the engine blows, Ill rebuild it better, bigger and stronger. Tranny goes, Ill rebuild it better, bigger and stronger. If the diff dies, Well you get the point. As long as I like the body style on this truck ill keep it.
When I don't like the body because scratches etc... Ill linex the whole stinkin thing, Then watch those little old ladies put dents in my truck, But I digress...

Its ultimately your choice, if you like the truck as is but want something newer the save up and get something newer. If you really like the truck and would rather save your money by making it into what you want it to be instead of dropping a ton of dough on a new truck you can do that as well. There is no right or wrong answer to your question. What would you want to do to the truck as far as mods go though? Are you trying to reach a specific hp range? Lift it? Turn it into an off-road truck? Show truck?

Alright, here's what you do. Go into the 2nd gen section. Look at the trucks in there.
Are they modded? Yea, a lot of them are. And you can't say that those trucks aren't older than yours and they continue to put money into them. So go right ahead with modding. I'll probably keep my truck forever like a lot of other guys. When it gets to the point that it's "old" I'll just rebuild it. Put in a bigger and more powerful engine, and really make it a nice old truck.

except for basically headlights and taillights changing, ur truck is essentially the same bodystyle of the 06-08...and i like the older lights much better anyways. so for years to come, its going to look like the newer trucks do. I say keep it and mod it, plus that way u know exactly what the truck has been through, has had repaired or not, etc...

Agree withthe rest of them. Keep it and mod it. You could go spend 30-40k on a new truck or spend 5-6k and do a hell of a lot of mods. Plus the mods you do make it unique to you, and thats what makes it YOUR truck!! Like everyone else, I plan on keeping and modding mine till it falls apart on me.
