Default Summit mufflers????

Has anyone used a Summit branded muffler before? If so, your thoughts. They sell a 3 in/ 3 out, 14" muffler (Looks like a Magnaflow) for $ 56 plus delivery on e bay.

Appreciate the comments!!

I would be careful with buying cheap mufflers. They say even the flowmaster don't flow as good as stock. I have aero turbines and love them.

Yup. It's hard to imagine that a 30" muffler(stock) can flow better than a 14". It's all because the chambered design for the sound resonance like flowmaster uses.
If Summits muffler has packing inside of it like a standardized muffler, then it will generally flow better than stock.

Their normal muffler sounds low toned

ive looked at their mufflers/exhaust before, they seem to be a pretty good deal. they have mandrel bent tubing in their kits too, which is kinda cool instead of crush bent. never actually heard them or talked to anyone that used them though.

Post a link of the actual muffler you are looking at. That way we can see exactly what muffler you are thinking of going with.

I have the Summit Racing cat exhaust. $170 shipped. Has a deep aggressive tone but not overly loud at high rpm. Sounds really good with my 3'' by 24'' chrome echo tips.

I have a summit muffler on my truck right now. The sound is good for what you are gonna pay. I got mine for 45 bucks. They are built well I watched my friend drive over his with his rock crawler and not dent. Good luck with you decision.
