Default New guy here with some concerns

Hi guys. I have a 2004 4x4 QC 1500 Hemi with 50k on the ticker. Just bought it this past September.
I've been watching the forum for a while now and decided to sign up.

I'm not bashing, but I must say. I'm a little disturbed at some of your posts. Has Chrysler's quality slipped that bad?

I had 2 older Rams before this one. Both treated me very well. It seems that since the '02 gen, quality is just terrible.

Due to $$. I had to leave the truck market for a little while. I went back to Dodge. Now I wonder if I made a mistake.

It seems most of you aren't even making it to 70k before having a
catastrophic failure of some sort. (rear diffs grenading, power steering falling apart, engine seizures, electrical problems)

I mean wow I'm used to putting 130k on a truck before needing any of that stuff.

So far my truck has gotten a new throttle body, PS hoses, brakes and rotors. I need to use my truck as a truck. Is a Dodge going to be there for me when the going gets tough?

actually, i think there are plenty of trucks with over 100k that have had no problems. sometimes, there might be a bad ram made in a batch. every car company will make a lemon once in a while

Hello fellow PA rammer. Welcome to DF. Some trucks will last long others won't. That's just the way it is. Chrysler quality could be better, but right now I'm happy with my truck.

Well remember that most people post here when they have a problem. You don't typically hear from someone saying "I don't need any help. My truck is running great." I think it's typical of any vehicle - with thousands of them out there, you are bound to have some problems.

If it helps, my 04 ram quad cab 1500 hemi has just under 120,000 miles on it. Nothing major at all. Only thing that I have needed to replace/fix have been the brakes, rotors, EGR valve, and fluids. Thats it.
