Hey Guys, Im looking for some help with my exhaust. Im running 2.5in true duals with a K&N intake and a dual in/dual out super 40 flowmaster muffler. The stock cats are still on the truck. I like the sound that the flowmaster puts out but Ive noticed that within the last few months its been getting a lot louder. Now for some people this isnt a problem but there is a huge drone in the cab no matter what the rpm and it gets very annoying after awhile. Just going from a stop up to 55mph at the same accleration rate as another car, the muffler drowns out the radio. When I was a kid this was great but now I want something that doesnt attract so much attention. I want to get a new muffler put in but dont know what to go with. I dont want anything as loud as the super 40 but I want something a little louder then stock. Id like to have a little noise when I really get on it but still have a quiet ride when I get up to speed. Ive checked out youtube videos but each one sounds different depending on the quality of the video so its hard to get a real idea of what they are like. Has anyone else had a problem with the flowmasters getting louder after about 2 years? Im thinking about getting a magnaflow to try but any input would be helpful.

my flowmaster just sucks, cant wait for the better weather to come and go back to cherry bomb, only had my flow for 6 months. nothing but a headache after driving. i am running a single catback 3 inch with no resonators, had an imco for three years that was nice. flow was a spur of the moment due to exhaust rusted and fell apart, cherry bomb on my fullsize 5.2
